Babington House

Situated in a Grade II-listed manor built in 1705, Babington House is surrounded by 18 acres of English countryside in the heart of Somerset. Just 30 minutes from Bath, it’s the ultimate countryside escape for rest, relaxation and seasonal dining. The Role…

This position is a seasonal role to assist with the summer period at Babington House. We are seeking a number of experienced Barback's to join our team at Babington House (BA11 3RW). Your main responsibilities are to support the bartending teams in the smooth running of the bar. This includes ensuring the bar is stocked with spirits, garnishes, ice, and other products needed throughout their shift. You will ensure that glasses, stirrers, shakers, strainers and other bartending tools are clean and in the proper position for use

What we are looking for in a Barback...

1-2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile bar (preferred but not essential)
Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
Sense of urgency
Yes, yes, yes mentality
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Have a genuine passion for food and beverage
Flexible and available to working both opening and closing shifts when required

Expected working hours for a Barback:

Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working evenings, weekends, opens & closes
Average hours 32-45 hours per week
Summer period May to September

Travel: Approx. 30 minutes from Bath, 50 minutes from Bristol & 10 mins from Frome (No local transport from Frome)
